Ne-Yo’s version of ‘One in a Million’

There is something sexy about a man in a suit and Ne-Yo in his tight white shirt, black suspenders, black hat, skinny black tie, black trousers, black dress shoes and white socks (I think we can forgive this fashion faux pas as fashion forward) is sexy.

“One in a Million” is the name of many, many songs. But this one is the third single released from this album “Libra Scale.” Originally, the concept was to release a short film with the album, but that fell through. The story concept does come through in the videos. The first single released was “Beautiful Monster”  and the lead single is “Champagne Life.”

Starring Ne-Yo, Columbus Short, John Silver, Cliff McGhee and Galen Hooks, the video for “One in a Million” was released on 3 September 2010.

“You look like you just got hitched,” one may tells Ne-Yo’s character. Ne-Yo’s character denies this and he tells his two friends that they got to do the thing for her. The her in question is played by Galen Hooks who fans of the Legion of Extraordinary Dances will quickly recognize.

The song’s refrain is “You’re the best I’ve ever had,” but the problem becomes when Ne-Yo’s character finally has Galen Hooks’ character smiling, he begins flirting with some hot women dressed street sexy with plenty of hairography.

Hooks’ character storms off in a taxi, but Ne-Yo’s character confronts her only to have Hooks’ character get out of the taxi and exclaim, “What the hell is wrong with you?”
