Tango into the New Year with Miriam Larici and Leonardo Barrionuevo

Want to learn tango? Make that your New Year’s resolution cruise to the Bahamas, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico and more while learning the passion. Even if you’re single now, you won’t be alone and who knows…there may be an on ship romance.

Choreographers for “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Dancing with the Stars” Miriam Larici and Leonardo Barrionuevo will be your tango instructors on a Norwegian Cruise line ship. Departing from Port Canaveral in Florida, you’ll sale to the Nassau in the Bahamas and then St. Thomas (Virgin Islands) and San Juan, Puerto Rico and hit the Bahamas again before landing back in Florida.

For $1,179 per person, you’ll share a stateroom and get all the tango-related activities. Taxes and port fees included.

There’s a milonga every night (10:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.), classes during the days at sea from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon, technique and guided practice from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. On days at port, classes are after the tour. Classes are for all levels and will cover women’s and men’s styling and technique, boleos, contraboleos, enrosques, volcadas and colgadas.
