DWTS 14 Week 4 results: Less bubbly in the ballroom
There were celebrities that I would have rather seen leave first, but the fans have spoken and there will be fewer laughs and less bubbly in the ballroom of “Dancing with the Stars” season 14.
Week 4 (Rock Week) saw Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy leave the dance floor. Shepherd contributed far more to the fun of DWTS this season than say Melissa Gilbert and her partner showed her off better than Tristan does Gladys Knight.
Shepherd was also healthy while two other women are injured. Gilbert suffered a mild concussion last night. Maria Menounos injured a rib and now has a stress fracture in her foot. That could easily become a break and she can’t dance without being on her feet.
Most people probably expected Gavin DeGraw and his partner Karina Smirnoff to be eliminated. They had been in the bottom two the last two weeks. Yet they were told early on that they weren’t going home.
Of course, besides DeGraw one expected another celebrity to be in the bottom two, but not the celebrity who Carrie Ann Inaba has just labeled the best male dancer of the season. Yet it was Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower who were low on fan support.
If that Disney star wasn’t feeling audience love, another Disney star was. Kyle Massey was back on DWTS as part of a promotional performance for the new DWTS Live Las Vegas show. Massey competed with Lacey Schwimmer during season 11 in 2010. They finished second behind Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough.
Ballroom dance fans will recognize the song the piece the Las Vegas cast performed to because it was used in a famous ballroom routine by Max Kozhevnikov & Yulia Zagoruychenko.
