Lady Gaga dominates MTV VMA 2010 (VIDEO)

Lady Gaga can dress down and she can dress up and she can sweep the MTV VMA ceremony as she proved Sunday, 12 September 2010 at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. Lady Gaga won Video of the Year, Best Pop Video, Best Female Video, Best Dance Video, Best Choreography, Best Direction and Best Editing for one video: “Bad Romance.” Lady Gaga also won Best Collaboration for her video with Beyonce “Telephone” (the long version).

Francis Lawrence directed “Bad Romance.”  Jonas Akerlund directed “Telephone.”

Lady Gaga accepted her Best Female Video award from Ellen DeGeneres in the costume she arrived in. She changed into a different costume (basic black, but not boring) when she accepted her Best Pop Video award from Fox TV “Glee” stars Cory Monteith and Jane Lynch.

Lady Gaga accepted her Video of the Year award from another singer known for her costuming, Cher. Cher wore a black body suit with strategic cut outs covered with mesh, but Lady Gaga opted for the controversial meat dress.  Other nominated videos were “Kings and Queens” by 30 Seconds to Mars, “Airplanes” by B.o.B. featuring Hayley Williams, “Not Afraid” by Eminem, “Dog Days Are Over” by Florence + the Machine, and “Telephone” by Lady Gaga and Beyonce.

Also nominated for Best Dance Music Video were Cascada’s “Evacuate the Dance Floor,” David Guetta’s “Sexy Chick,” Enrique Iglesias’ “I Like It,” and Usher’s “OMG.”

Nominated for Best Choreography were “Video Phone (Extended Remix)” by Beyonce, “California Gurls by Katy Perry featuring Snoop Dogg, Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok,” and Taylor Swift’s “Fifteen.”

Audrina Patridge attends MTV VMAs

How can a girl ignore the network that made her famous? Audrina Patridge knows that being famous just for being famous isn’t easy and when MTV held their annual Video Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, she showed up in silver.

Patridge also needs to build up a fan base for “Dancing with the Stars” where she is paired up with Tony Dovolani.

Patridge wasn’t the only celebrity from “The Hills.” Lo Bosworth and Stephanie Pratt were also on hand and they also chose to sparkle, but in gold, not silver.

“The Hills” was an MTV reality show that premiered on 31 May 2006 and followed the life of Lauren Conrad, who had starred in “Laguna Beach.” It included her new friends in Los Angeles. The final episode aired on 13 July 2010.

“Dancing with the Stars” premieres its 11th season on 20 September 2010 (Monday) on ABC.

Justin Bieber performs at VMA 2010 (VIDEO)

The teen sensation Justin Bieber performed a medley of his hits (“U Smile,” “Baby” and “Somebody to Love”) and, of course, besides there being screaming fans, he danced with his group of b-boys and played the drums.

What more can you ask from a YouTube sensation?

The Canadian singer Bieber, Jerry Duplessis, Arden Altino, and Dan August Rigo wrote”U Smile” and the song was released on his debut album this year in March.

“Baby” was written by Bieber,  Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Terius “The-Dream” Nash, Christopher Bridges, Christina Milian.

“Somebody to Love” was released this year in April and was written by Bieber, Heather Bright, and The Stereotypes. That video features Poreotics and Beat Freaks as well as Bieber’s mentor, Usher.

Taylor Swift new song ‘Innocent’ lyrics and VIDEO

Last year at the MTV VMA Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for her Best Female Video Award was interrupted by Kanye West. Swift finally made her reply to the incident at this year’s awards ceremony with her new song “Innocent.”

The 20-year-old Swift was barefoot in a simple cream colored dress with her hair short and wavy in a 1950s glamour queen style and referenced West by age, singing “32 is still growing up.”

West tweeted his apology to Swift and the world last week. Kanye West was born 8 June 1977 and is now 33.

The incident has become part of Poreotics dance routine, one that was used in their introductory dance during the last season of MTV “America’s Best Dance Crew” which they would win.

Did Swift forgive West? And was this the most appropriate response?

I guess you really did it this time
Left yourself in your war path
Lost your balance on a tightrope
Lost your mind trying to get it back

Wasn’t it easier in your lunch box days?
Always a bigger bed to crawl into
Wasn’t it beautiful when you believed in everything
And everybody believed in you?

It’s all right, just wait and see
You’re streaming lights are still bright to me oh
Who you are is not what you’ve been
You’re still an innocent
You’re still an innocent

There’s some things you can’t speak of
But tonight you’ll leave it all again
You wouldn’t be shattered on the floor now
If only you would sing only what you know …

Wasn’t it easy you’re in your … catching days?
And everything out of reach … brought down to you?
Wasn’t it beautiful running wild till you fell asleep
Before the monsters caught up to you?

It’s all right, just wait and see
Your streaming lights are still bright to me oh
Who you are you are is not who you’ve been
You’re still an innocent
It’s OK, life is a tough crowd
32 and still growing up now
Who you are is not what you did
You’re still an innocent

Time turns flames to ambers
You’ll have new Septembers
Everyone of us has messed up too
Mind change like the weather
I hope you remember today is never too late
To be brave (ohh)

It’s all right, just wait and see
Your streaming lights are bright to me oh
Who you are is not where you’ve been
You’re still an innocent
It’s OK, life is a tough crowd
32 and still growing up now
Who you are is not what you did
You’re still an innocent
Lost your balance on a tight rope
It’s never too late to get it back
